About the MD
Tshifhiwa Mamaila completed his Masters degree in Social development in 2005 at the University of Pretoria and his BA (Honours) degree in Social Work in 1996. He worked for different sectors in South Africa including Public / Government, Private Sector, NGO, Hospital, Mining, Correctional Services and he is currently an Employee Wellness Specialist / Consultant in Private practice and a guest lecture at the University of Pretoria.
He has been involved in the Counselling, Employee Wellness, HIV and AIDS field for fifteen years as an Employee Wellness manager, EAP practitioner and Social worker. He has been exposed to a number of training as part of his continued professional development such as: Investment in Excellence, Franklin Covey’s seven habits, Women empowerment, Project Management, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Community development, Hypnotherapy, Reiki, PLR and Organisational transformation. He completed his training as a Reiki Master.
He is on the EAPA International Board of Directors for the 2014 - 2016 term of office
He has served in the Employee Assistance Professionals Association since 2007 holding the following portfolios: Marketing, Vice President, President and now the Immediate Past President of the Association.
He has won an International award as the President of EAPA-SA at a World EAP Conference in Phoenix - Arizona in 2013.
He recently published his maiden book: "As I am - Truly Blessed".
He loves traveling, hiking, playing squash, tennis and exercising in an effort to continuously maintain a healthy work-life balance.
